EngageIQ / Call QA / QualifAI

You're Probably Listening to 2% of Your Calls. Here's What's Hiding in the Other 98%.

Most outbound teams QA a tiny sample of calls and call it coverage. EngageIQ scores 100% of calls - recorded, transcribed, and AI-graded - natively in the dialer, with no separate conversation-intelligence vendor. Here's why that changes everything.

01 / Coverage gap

The other 98%.

Walk into almost any high-volume outbound shop and ask a simple question: what percentage of your calls actually gets reviewed?

The honest answer is usually somewhere between two and five percent. A QA analyst pulls a handful of recordings a week, fills out a scorecard, flags a few coaching moments, and moves on. Everyone nods. The box is checked. “We do QA.”

Think about what that really means. If you're dialing twenty thousand calls a month and reviewing four hundred of them, you're making decisions about your reps, your scripts, your compliance posture, and your spend based on a rounding error. The other nineteen thousand six hundred conversations - where deals were won, lost, fumbled, or quietly put your business at legal risk - happened in the dark. Nobody listened. Nobody scored them. They're gone.

That's not quality assurance. That's a survey with a brutal margin of error.

02 / Stack cost

The industry's answer was to sell you a second platform.

The conversation-intelligence category exists to solve exactly this problem, and to be fair, the tools are good at it. Gong, Voxjar, Observe.AI, Cresta, Chorus - they all promise to lift QA off the spreadsheet and put AI on every call. Transcription, scorecards, coaching insights, the works. The pitch is compelling because the pain is real.

Here's the catch nobody puts on the slide: every one of those tools is a separate platform you bolt onto the dialer you already pay for. A second login, a second data flow, a second integration to babysit, a second invoice. Gong runs roughly $1,200 to $1,600 per user per year on top of platform fees. Observe.AI lands in the $60,000-to-$180,000-a-year range for an enterprise seat count. Voxjar is the friendly one - freemium with credit bundles - but at real volume those credits add up, and it's still one more tool in the stack.

So the modern outbound team pays for the dialer that makes the call, then pays again for the platform that listens to it. The conversation and the intelligence about the conversation live in two systems, owned by two vendors, reconciled by your ops team on a Tuesday. That's backwards. The call already happened inside your dialer. The recording already exists. Why are you exporting it to a second company to find out how it went?

03 / Built in

What “built-in” actually means.

This is the part to be precise about, because “AI-powered QA” has become the kind of phrase that means nothing. Here is exactly what EngageIQ does, step by step, so you can hold it against anyone else's claim.

01

Record

02

Transcribe

03

Score

04

Review

Every call placed on the platform is recorded. The moment it ends, that recording moves through an automated pipeline: it's transcribed by a speech-to-text model, then scored by an AI evaluator against a structured scorecard - greeting, compliance, product knowledge, objection handling, the close. The result is a clean set of scores with the evidence behind each one, written straight into the call record where it lives next to the dial that produced it.

Not a sample. Not the calls a busy analyst had time for. One hundred percent of them. Every call, scored automatically, every day, with zero sampling.

That single fact reshapes what you can know about your operation. You're no longer guessing whether last week's coaching landed - you can watch the objection-handling scores move across the whole floor. You're no longer hoping a compliance problem isn't lurking in the calls nobody pulled - every call carries a compliance read. And because the scores sit inside the dialer, you can finally trace the whole line: spend, to connect, to conversation, to outcome, in one place. No export. No second tool. No reconciliation.

04 / Human control

AI scores it. A human still owns it.

Here's the thing the category usually glosses over: AI scoring on its own isn't gospel, and we don't pretend it is.

EngageIQ is a hybrid platform - AI plus human, by design. The AI grades every call so your people don't have to grind through nineteen thousand recordings. But a manager can review any score, calibrate it, and override it with a reason that stays attached to the record. That's not a fallback for when the AI fails; it's how good QA is supposed to work. The machine handles the coverage problem humans physically cannot solve at volume; your team handles the judgment - the calibration, the coaching conversation that actually changes behavior.

You'll notice we're not telling you the system “learns on its own” or “gets smarter every day.” A lot of marketing leans on that language; we'd rather under-promise it. What we'll stand behind is concrete and verifiable: every call recorded, transcribed, and scored, with a human in the loop to keep it honest.

05 / Right job

Where Gong genuinely wins - and where this isn't that.

EngageIQ does not replace Gong, because it doesn't, and you'd catch it the first time you used both.

Gong is a genuinely excellent revenue-intelligence platform. If your business is closing six-figure B2B deals over a months-long cycle - reading the health of a pipeline, tracking objection trends across a complex sale, forecasting the quarter, coaching reps on relationship selling - Gong is built for exactly that, and it's worth what it costs. EngageIQ does not do deal-pipeline intelligence or revenue forecasting, and we won't dress it up as if it does.

What we're talking about here is a different job. If you run high-volume outbound - insurance, home services, energy, tax relief, the verticals where the game is contact rate, qualification, and compliance at scale - your QA problem isn't reading a B2B deal pipeline. It's making sure every one of thousands of daily calls was handled well and handled compliantly. That problem does not need a separate six-figure intelligence platform sitting on top of your dialer. It needs the dialer to do its own QA. That's the lane we're in.

06 / Customer proof

What this looks like when it's real.

One of our insurance clients ran exactly the math this post opened with. Their QA team was sampling a sliver of calls and extrapolating across the floor - and they knew the extrapolation was thin. The moment every call started getting transcribed and scored automatically, the conversation in their weekly review changed. Instead of debating whether the four reviewed calls were representative, they were looking at scores across the entire volume, spotting the coaching patterns that a 2% sample had been hiding, and walking into compliance conversations with the actual record instead of a hopeful guess. The cost of “QA on every call” stopped being a headcount problem and became a line item that was already inside the platform.

07 / Price

The honest part: the price.

Since we just spent several paragraphs naming what other tools charge, it would be a little rich to be coy about ours.

EngageIQ keeps seat and usage charges on one bill, including $0.60 per number - the QA pipeline rides along with the calls you're already making. There is no separate conversation-intelligence invoice or credit meter on each evaluation. If you want us to run it for you, there's an optional managed add-on at $2,000 a month. That's the whole pricing story. You can do that arithmetic against a per-user CI subscription yourself - and you should.

$0.60 Per number, with seat and usage charges on one bill.
$2,000/mo Optional managed add-on if you want us to run it for you.
08 / The point

The point.

You don't have a QA problem because the tools to score calls don't exist. You have a QA problem because scoring calls has always meant either burning analyst hours on a tiny sample, or buying a second platform and stitching it to your dialer.

Flatten that. The call happens in the dialer. The recording lives in the dialer. The score should live there too - on every call, with a human keeping it honest, without a second vendor in the middle. That's not a feature we bolted on. It's how the records were built.

Stop QA’ing two percent of your calls and calling it coverage.

See it on your own calls. Bring your scorecard - EngageIQ scores every call against it, automatically, inside the dialer.
